8 Tips for Mobile Friendly Email Campaigns

As the old saying goes, “Don’t judge an email by its subject line or whether or not it loads properly on mobile.” Unfortunately, with people receiving approximately 120 to 130 emails per day and more than 80% of them reading email via a mobile device, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. It’s not just writing a solid subject line, there’s an entire list of equally important things to consider as you’re creating your next email.

TDG Takeaways: When a person subscribes to your email list, it’s like they’re inviting you into their home for Sunday dinner. It shouldn’t be taken lightly, especially when users have been found to delete an email that displays incorrectly on mobile within three seconds of opening. Thinking through all pieces of your email from the subject line, to the layout, to the call to action can all go a long way with the folks on your list.

LinkedIn Publishes New Guide on How to Make Best Use of LinkedIn Live

LinkedIn recently published a 13-page guide on how to make the best use of LinkedIn Live, their new live-streaming platform that you may not have access to yet (but they’re looking to expand). LinkedIn Live is a bit different than other social media live-streams and a little more buttoned-up, requiring a third-party broadcast tool vs. an iPhone. While utilizing the platform’s live-stream is more of an investment, LinkedIn reports that “broadcasters are seeing 7x more reactions and 24x more comments on average for live streams compared to regular video.”

TDG Takeaways: As its access expands, LinkedIn Live is looking like a great way to professionally broadcast a high-quality live-stream video of key events, announcements, and so on. Looking to expand your brand presence on the platform? Investing in live video on LinkedIn might be the answer.

Maximize Reach With Out-of-Home and Facebook Campaigns in EMEA

Facebook recently published a report on the benefits of combining Facebook and out-of-home (OOH) advertising. After partnering with data consulting companies, Kantar and Accenture, they collectively determined through research that using a combination of the two channels “extends the reach of campaigns to a broader and younger audience and helps advertisers more efficiently reach their objectives.” Still not convinced? The social platform also conducted a case study on yogurt company Les 2 Vaches, a new French organic yogurt. In using both Facebook and OOH in their media mix, the parent company Danone was able to reach both new and existing customers and exceed campaign goals in sales. Oo la la.

TDG Takeaways: While the last decade has seen an increasingly strong shift to digital marketing, the combined efforts of a strategic multichannel approach (digital + OOH) can allow a brand to effectively achieve campaign goals.
